Why we exist
Most employers store applications in an applicant tracking system (Workday, Greenhouse, Taleo, iCIMS and similar). The system parses your file into plain text, and a recruiter then searches that text for terms from the job posting. A strong candidate can go unread simply because their resume isn’t formatted or worded the way that search expects. CareerLift was built to close that gap — giving every job seeker affordable, instant insight into how their resume performs against ATS criteria, and exactly how to improve it.
What we do
CareerLift uses AI to read your resume the way an applicant tracking system’s parser and a recruiter would. Two of the tools are free. The emailed whole-resume review gives you an ATS readiness score, a keyword-gap analysis, formatting checks, and concrete, prioritised fixes — that score is our own estimate, not a live run through any named applicant tracking system. The job-match check compares your resume against one specific posting and names the must-have terms that are literally absent from it, any seniority mismatch, and the formatting that makes parsers drop your content — on screen, usually in one to two minutes, with no account.
Paying is optional, and always one-time. The $19 rewrite reworks your own bullet points against that exact posting, each one mapped to the requirement it answers, and states plainly what your history does not evidence instead of inventing it. Three downloads sit alongside the tools: parser-safe .docx resume templates ($9), a library of quantified example bullets by job title ($12), and a career toolkit that bundles them ($24). To be as clear about what is not here: the $19 rewrite reworks your bullets rather than rebuilding your whole resume, nothing we sell writes or rewrites your LinkedIn profile, and none of it is a subscription.
